Job Summary:
The Junior Software Developer will plan, develop and provide updates to our specialized application software such as our mobile application that allows for secure messaging, picture sharing and live video calling, and other clinician consultation and documentation applications. This role reports to the CTO.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborates with internal teams to understand user needs; drafts initial design of software to meet these needs. Assesses feasibility of design and project parameters within time and cost constraints. Analyzes user needs and designs software for client use. Develops code and designs software applications based on user specifications. Modifies existing software to correct errors or improve performance. Monitors and assists with software testing and validation procedures and programming. Monitors and assists with software installation; ensures application operates within established specifications. Gathers and evaluates user feedback and then modifies software for better usability. Designs databases for specific application areas. Collaborates with systems analysts, engineers, and programmers to design systems to support required applications. Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1-5 years of experience as software developer or engineer preferred.
SQL:
2-years' experience required. C#: 2-years' experience required. Swift (iOS): 1-year of experience required. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required. Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting productivity standards. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, tablet or mobile device. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Working Conditions:
Work will be performed in a home office setting. Must maintain a HIPAA compliant dedicated space in the home office setting to complete documentation and to conduct telehealth visits. This space must provide privacy to protect PHI/PII and provide a professional backdrop for video conferencing. Access to Wi-Fi required.
