Job Title:
LabVIEW Developer Job Description As a LabVIEW Developer, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, integration, and configuration of software applications and components. You will bring software engineering expertise to the development, test, and analysis team, adhering to software development and configuration management processes. Your role will also involve documenting software development, including creating test plans, design documentation, and maintaining design requirements. You will conduct analysis and collaborate with subject matter experts to plan, design, develop, and utilize electronic data processing systems for information storage, processing, presentation, manipulation, display, or reporting. Additionally, you will understand system interconnects to delegate appropriate software routines to hardware and generate automated test routines for testing hardware components and providing user feedback. Responsibilities Design and develop software applications and components. Conduct testing, integration, and configuration of software. Provide software engineering expertise to the development team. Document software development, including test plans and design documentation. Conduct analysis and collaborate with experts for electronic data processing systems. Generate automated test routines for hardware functionality testing. Understand system interconnects for software routine delegation. Essential Skills Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field. 5+ years of experience in systems design, integration, and analysis of military hardware and software systems. Proficiency in National Instruments LabVIEW, LabVIEW Real-Time, PXI, Compact RIO, Teststand. Proficiency in
SQL / SQL
Server, C++, Windows/Visual Studio, LabWindows/CVI. Object-Oriented Software Engineering skills. Proficiency with lab equipment like DMMs, Spectrum Analyzers. Knowledge of communication protocols like GPIB, RS232, SPI, Ethernet. Experience with National Instruments Hardware like
PXI, CRIO, CDAQ. U.S.
Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD Secret Security Clearance. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) projects. Experience with Windchill, SVN, or DOORS. Experience with FPGA or embedded design. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Middletown, RI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
