.. Job Details Skills Mainframe Programmer Summary job summary: This is a remote position, but preference will be given to candidates located in the Eastern Time Zone. The Mainframe Programmer will provide direct development, maintenance, and technical support for a mainframe based legacy tax management system.

• 60 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Participate in requirements, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance support for a mainframe based legacy tax management system Work closely with other support team members to determine the best approach to resolve issues as part of day-to-day support of legacy system.

Issue resolution will often require software changes and testing. Work closely with others as a team member in design, development and testing of legislative and operational changes to legacy system qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience developing/maintaining mainframe based tax management systems using COBOL including Install/1 system management
• 10+ years of development experience with

COBOL, EASYTRIEVE, MVS

JCL, CICS, SQL and DB2 in a mainframe environment

• 5+ years of experience in Technical and Functional Requirements documentation
• Extensive knowledge of techniques and methodologies relating to software quality assurance and testing through the full systems development lifecycle.

Databases:

VSAM, DB2, IMS

• Environment:

  TSO/ISPF, z/OS, MVS, IMS, Windows
• Experience with troubleshooting and debugging mainframe application.
