Supporting Caregivers. Sharing Christ. Company Description Prelude Ministries, Inc. is a nonprofit ministry that provides state-of-the-art spiritual, emotional, and practical support to seniors, especially those with dementia, and their caregivers. Our services include Christian spiritual care, family and community support systems, and practical support. As industry leaders, we specialize in spiritual care services for seniors with cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer's disease and other memory loss conditions. Our vision and mission to be able to provide spiritual care to memory care and assisted living communities that lack this support at no cost to the facility or to the residents and their families. Role Description Prelude Ministries exists to ensure that every elder in senior care hears the Gospel before they die. We place pastors inside senior care facilities — not occasionally, but daily — building relationships that create the conditions for real Gospel conversations and real transformation. The Part-Time Fund Developer advances the mission of Prelude Ministries by cultivating gospel-centered relationships, engaging mission-aligned supporters, and securing the financial resources needed to expand ministry impact. This position is responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors through meaningful conversations that clearly communicate the ministry's vision, mission, and eternal impact. Success in this role is measured primarily through relationship-building activity, donor engagement, funds raised, and the development of strategic partnerships that support the ministry's mission. The core responsibility is to turn conversations into donors. You will be a part of the Ministry Executive Team and work 25hrs. a week.
Primary Duties Donor Conversations:
Conducting 15 qualified donor conversations/week with focus on understanding, identifying alignment, and building trust. Initiate and maintain meaningful, gospel-centered conversations with current and prospective donors.
Prospect Development:
Identifying and engaging prospects through relationships, supportive families, referrals, and database managing a pipeline of 1500+ prospects. Adding 3-5 qualified new donor prospects per month.
Cultivation & Relationship Building:
Follow up consistently with donors and inviting donors to visit ministry locations, speak with pastors, and expose them to impactful testimony. At least 8-10 face to face or virtual cultivation meetings per month.
Solicitation:
Make clear and direct ask through major gifts ($5k-$10k+) and recurring support. Target to be raised is at least $150k annually.
Stewardship Excellence:
Ensure thank you communications are sent within 48 hrs. of receiving gifts, provide quarterly impact updates to major donors, and maintain accurate records with 100% of documentation of donor interactions.
Fundraising Strategy and Execution:
Create and execute annual and quarterly fundraising plans. Identify and cultivate new funding opportunities. Assist with campaigns, events, and special fundraising initiatives. Collaborate with ministry leadership to develop compelling ministry stories, testimonies, and impact reports. Support grant identification and relationship-building with potential foundations and ministry partners. Qualifications Demonstrated commitment to Jesus Christ and agreement with the mission and values of Prelude Ministries. Passion for fundraising as a ministry of relationship-building and disciple-making. Strong interpersonal, communication, and storytelling skills. At least 5 years of experience in fundraising, donor development, nonprofit advancement, or major gift work. Experience raising personal support or ministry funding. Experience working with churches or faith-based organizations. Proven record of achieving measurable fundraising and/or relationship-development goals. Ability to initiate conversations and build trust with diverse audiences. Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently. Proficiency with donor databases, CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and digital communication tools. Salary Range $40,000 - $50,000
