Contract About the Role Join OneMain Financial as a Principal DevOps Engineer and become a pivotal technical leader driving our enterprise DevOps and Platform Engineering modernization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Architecture, Infrastructure, Cloud, Operations, and Security, to set engineering standards, accelerate cloud adoption, and build secure, automated, and scalable platforms. This is a high-impact role designed for an expert passionate about cloud transformation, platform engineering, and technical mentorship. Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and implementation of enterprise DevOps solutions across cloud and on-premises platforms.
• Establish and enforce engineering best practices, CI/CD standards, and Infrastructure as Code frameworks.
• Architect and manage AWS environments leveraging Autoscaling Groups, Security Groups, Route53, S3, and IAM.
• Develop, deploy, and manage Kubernetes and/or OpenShift platforms for containerized workloads.
• Automate deployment pipelines, enable continuous integration, and drive operational excellence.
• Embed DevSecOps principles, ensuring robust cloud security and compliance.
• Mentor and guide engineering teams, shaping technical direction and driving adoption of modern platform engineering practices.
• Partner with stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient cloud solutions across the enterprise. Required Skills and Experience
• 12+ years in Infrastructure, Cloud, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
• 7+ years architecting and implementing enterprise-wide DevOps platforms.
• 5+ years leading large-scale DevOps or Platform Engineering initiatives.
• Deep expertise in AWS (Autoscaling, Security, Route53, S3, IAM).
• Advanced proficiency with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and/or OpenShift.
• Proven success automating CI/CD pipelines and integrating Git-based workflows.
• Strong DevSecOps and cloud security background.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor technical teams and drive engineering strategy.
• Must be located in Evansville, IN, Dallas, TX, or Charlotte, NC (hybrid work model). Preferred Skills
• Experience with cloud-native monitoring and observability tools.
• Exposure to enterprise-scale migration or modernization projects.
• Familiarity with additional cloud providers (Azure or GCP).
