Description Principal Software Engineer I Job Description:
Design, build, and deliver cloud-native, service-oriented platforms to meet the company's growth trajectory in data ingestion, processing, business intelligence and observability needs. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into secure, HIPAA-compliant world class software with the latest technologies. Interface with end users to gather, understand and translate requirements into the Agile delivery process. Design healthcare platforms for the delivery of telemedicine healthcare services with data ingestion, monitoring, and observability of client data capabilities. Collaborate with product owners, designers, other developers, architects, quality engineers, and DevOps to deliver innovative solutions that solve complex healthcare problems. Design and implement highly performing ETL used internally by Operation and Product teams. Design, implement, and operate message queueing systems, including RabbitMQ, AWS SQS and AWS kinesis, to process and enrich observability data. Coordinate individual sprint priorities, deadlines and deliverables. Design microservice based platforms with data ingestion, monitoring, and observability of client data capabilities. Mentor developers on incident response and troubleshooting. Position may include additional duties that utilize the required skills. Telecommuting permitted up to 60%; employee must reside within normal commuting distance of company's office in Plymouth Meeting, PA.Job Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Informatics, or a related field, and five years of experience in software engineering. In lieu of a Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Informatics, or a related field, and five years of experience in software engineering, employer will accept seven years of experience in software engineering.Experience must include:
- Designing and architecting end-to-end observability solutions using ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for monitoring, tracing, logging, and metrics collection in distributed systems across on-premise and cloud environments;
- Designing, developing and procuring tools to enforce observability, security and cost effectives standards;
- Designing microservice based platforms with data ingestion, monitoring, and observability of client data capabilities; and
- Designing, implementing, and operating message queueing systems, including RabbitMQ, AWS SQS and AWS kinesis, to process and enrich observability data.
