World Energy Services, LLC is a leading provider of sustainable energy solutions. We are committed to delivering innovative and efficient energy services to help our clients achieve their sustainability goals. Our team is passionate about promoting renewable energy, reducing carbon footprints, and driving the transition to a cleaner energy future.
Position Summary:
World Energy Services is seeking a highly motivated Project Developer who is ready to play a key role in developing clean energy projects across the Northeast. The Project Developer will be responsible for supporting the development, design, estimating, and coordination of commercial energy efficiency, decarbonization, and EV charging projects. This role will work closely with our sales team, project management team, engineering, operations, utility, and subcontractor partners to move projects through the development cycle and prepare them for successful installation. The successful candidate should have a strong technical background, experience with local utility programs, HVAC, electrical and/or EV charging infrastructure, and the ability to manage multiple projects in various stages of development. This is a critical role that bridges sales, engineering, estimating, utility coordination, and project execution. This position may require limited travel throughout Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and other areas of the Northeast to visit customer sites, conduct assessments, support project design, and participate in customer meetings. This position has a base salary determined by related and relevant experience plus a management-by-objective bonus plan.
Key Responsibilities:
    Project Development:
Support the development of commercialvor municipal energy efficiency, decarbonization, and EV charging projects from initial concept through handoff to operations.
      Site Assessments:
Visit job sites to review existing conditions, evaluate project feasibility, collect data, and help define project scope.
        Cost Estimating:
Prepare detailed cost estimates, including labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, engineering, permitting, utility, and construction-related costs.
          Proposal Support:
Prepare customer-facing proposals that clearly describe the recommended energy efficiency, decarbonization, or EV charging solution, project economics, incentives, tax credits, simple payback, and overall value proposition.
            Internal Collaboration:
Work closely with sales, project administration, engineering, and operations teams to ensure each project is properly scoped, priced, documented, and transitioned.
              Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination:
Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, engineers, and other project partners throughout the development and implementation process.
                Customer Meetings:
Attend customer meetings and presentations throughout the sales and development cycle, as needed.
                  Technical Communication:
Help explain project costs, energy savings, utility incentives, tax credits, payback, and implementation details in a way that is clear to customers.
                    CRM Documentation:
Thoroughly document, track, and report project activity, project milestones, customer communication, and development progress in Salesforce.
                    Requirements:
                      Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. A degree in electrical engineering, renewable energy, construction management, or a related technical field is preferred, but not required.
                        Experience:
3 to 5 years of experience electrical estimating, project development, or a related clean energy field.
                          Technical Skills:
Ability to understand electrical drawings, system layouts, construction details, equipment specifications, and project cost drivers.
