Senior Developer We are partnering with our client to hire a Senior Developer in Schaumburg, IL for a Direct Hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a Senior Developer who thrives in a project-driven modernization environment and is excited to build new functionality across core CRM/ERP platforms while accelerating AI-forward development practices. You'll join a team that values autonomy, accountability, and strong software engineering fundamentals—leveraging AI tools daily to improve velocity and outcomes. If you enjoy owning problems end-to-end, refining ideas into deliverable solutions, and working in a Hybrid environment, this Senior Developer role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact. Responsibilities Build new functionality across our client's core CRM/ERP platforms as part of broader product modernization efforts Drive adoption of AI-assisted development practices across the engineering organization Architect and develop resilient backend platforms, microservices, and databases designed for high transaction volumes Mentor junior and mid-level developers and contribute to a tiered team environment Provide on-call support as needed to maintain and support critical systems Qualifications 10+ years of backend development experience, including Java (Spring Boot) or C#/.NET Core Experience architecting backend platforms, microservices, and databases supporting high transaction volumes Background supporting payment platforms, billing infrastructure, and/or settlement/reconciliation systems Experience with cloud deployments (AWS and/or Azure) Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and consistently "own" outcomes Strong software engineering best practices, including patterns/designs and taking ideas through to deliverable solutions Experience using AI coding tools in day-to-day development workflows
