Senior Software Engineer II

at Payroc in Tinley Park, Illinois, United States Job Description Design, develop, engineer, monitor, and document Payroc's payment solutions platform and data analytics software and other internal software applications and information systems used by Payroc's internal team members (in order to provide more meaningful insight to make impactful data-driven business decisions) Determine software operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions while following the software development lifecycle Test, analyze, and develop software solutions for Payroc's payment solutions platform and data analytics software and other internal software applications and information systems by studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes in order to develop high performing and high volume data pipelines and to bring together complex information from different software source systems Implement software testing for quality assurance and perform extraction, transformation, and loading of business intelligence data by developing the corresponding software systems infrastructure and architecture amongst Payroc's payment solutions platform and data analytics software to provide for more enhanced, efficient, and effective real-time data analytics and results Design internal payment solutions platform software and business intelligence application architecture and develop specifications for new Payroc business intelligence software applications while ensuring that expected application performance levels are achieved by managing interfaces, service levels, standards, data quality and privacy, and configurations Study Payroc's payment solutions platform software and business intelligence data analytics applications design and information needs, and recommend unique and customized technical solutions and upgrades to Payroc Engineering Managers while continuously researching and learning about new business intelligence information systems and software technology within the payment processing industry that will help improve efficiency and effectiveness for Payroc's overall business and data analytics Improve Payroc's software applications and internal software business intelligence platform applications and systems already in place by collaborating with other software and information technology team members and studying current practices, identifying problems, designing modifications, and writing improved software engineering procedures Confer with Payroc's Analytics, Finance, and Business Unit team members to gain better understanding of needed changes or modification of existing Payroc software business intelligence data analytics applications and internal software systems, and resolve questions of program intent, data input, output requirements, data tables, and internal checks and controls A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology is required (a Foreign Educational Equivalent is acceptable). In addition, 24 months of experience as an Technology Analyst, Application Developer, or Software Architect is required. $162,744.12 per year is the wage for this position.
