Job Description

Senior Software Engineer (US Citizenship Required) The Senior Software Engineer will design, develop, and optimize mission-critical software for Assured Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (APNT) and GPS-denied applications. This role requires extensive expertise in C and C++, embedded systems development, and cross-platform solutions for Linux and Windows environments. The engineer will also provide technical leadership, mentor less-experienced developers, and contribute to strategic architecture and technology decisions. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and maintenance of complex software solutions for GPS-denied tracking and navigation systems. Develop and optimize embedded software and firmware for hardware components. Oversee the development and performance optimization of applications for Linux and Windows platforms. Provide technical leadership and mentor junior and mid-level developers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers and product managers, to define software requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. Write efficient, maintainable, and scalable code in C and C++. Conduct in-depth testing, debugging, and performance optimization of software applications. Research and integrate emerging technologies to enhance software capabilities. Maintain thorough documentation of software designs, development processes, and technical specifications. Required Qualifications U.S. citizenship with an active Secret-level security clearance, or the ability and willingness to obtain one. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience may be considered. 7-15+ years of professional software development experience. Expert-level proficiency in C and C++. Strong understanding of embedded systems development. Proficiency in Linux and Windows development environments. Experience with version-control tools such as Git or SVN and CI/CD pipeline integration. Proven ability to troubleshoot and debug complex systems, including hardware-software integration. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive technical innovation. Preferred Qualifications Experience with GPS-denied tracking, navigation, APNT, or related technologies. Knowledge of machine learning, sensor fusion techniques, and advanced signal processing. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and DevOps best practices. Proficiency in C# and at least one of Java or Kotlin. Experience with Android application development, including UI/UX design and optimization. Experience developing WPF applications. Experience with Python or another scripting language. Strong understanding of security protocols and best practices for embedded and mobile applications. Experience designing and querying relational databases. Experience with real-time operating systems. Working knowledge of communication interfaces such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, UART, SPI, and I2C. $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
