Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Senior Solution Architect with deep expertise in
SAP S/4HANA
Production Planning (PP) to support the design, implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of enterprise manufacturing solutions. This individual will partner closely with Production, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to deliver scalable SAP solutions that improve manufacturing execution, planning, and operational performance. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on SAP configuration experience, end-to-end project delivery expertise, and a proven ability to drive process improvement within complex manufacturing environments. Responsibilities Partner with Production, Operations, and Supply Chain stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into scalable
SAP S/4HANA
solutions. Lead the design, configuration, testing, implementation, and support of
SAP S/4HANA
Production Planning (PP) functionality. Serve as the subject matter expert for Production Planning processes including MRP, BOMs, routings, work centers, production orders, and capacity planning. Design and support integrations between SAP S/4HANA and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to enable seamless production execution and data synchronization. Collaborate across SAP modules including Production Planning (PP), Materials Management (MM), Quality Management (QM), and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM). Conduct fit-gap analyses, develop functional specifications, and support SIT, UAT, deployment, and go-live activities. Troubleshoot complex production and system issues while driving process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives. Create and maintain system documentation, SOPs, job aids, functional specifications, and change control documentation. Ensure compliance with company policies, governance standards, regulatory requirements, and audit controls. Provide leadership across project teams, coordinating cross-functional resources and ensuring successful delivery of business outcomes. Stay current on
SAP S/4HANA
innovations and recommend enhancements that improve manufacturing efficiency and operational effectiveness. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 8+ years of SAP experience with at least 5 years focused on SAP Production Planning (PP). Strong hands-on
SAP S/4HANA PP
configuration experience, including: MRP Bills of Material (BOMs) Routings Work Centers Production Orders Capacity Planning Experience supporting end-to-end SAP implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and production support initiatives. Strong understanding of SAP integration points across PP, MM, QM, EWM, and MES/shop floor systems. Experience with SAP configuration (IMG), functional specifications, testing (SIT/UAT), system integration, and change management processes. Proven ability to lead requirements gathering, solution design, fit-gap workshops, testing, deployment, and post-production support activities. Experience working within manufacturing, production, operations, or supply chain environments. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities. Preferred Qualifications
SAP S/4HANA
implementation experience. Manufacturing Execution System (MES) integration experience. Exposure to Quality Management (QM) and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM). Experience supporting regulated manufacturing environments. Agile, Scrum, and/or ITIL certifications. Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience.
Additional Information Hybrid schedule:
3 days onsite per week. Initial 9-month contract with potential for extension. Approximately 20% travel may be required.
