Software Engineer Position in Madisonville, TN This reputable global manufacturing company is in search of an adept Application Engineer with a solid automotive product design background to assist customers in the evaluation and deployment of product solutions. The chosen candidate will collaborate closely with customers to comprehend their product requirements by analyzing specifications, preparing technical proposals, and estimating material design feasibility. This position involves working in unison with clients and internal teams to support product development and program launch. Responsibilities Lead technical engagements with customers during pre-sales demonstrations, trials, and deployment phases. Deliver compelling product demonstrations and proof-of-concept tests. Gather and translate customer requirements into detailed technical specifications, use cases, and validation plans. Develop, maintain, and update technical documentation such as application notes, configuration guides, installation manuals, and user guides. Collaborate with R&D and product teams to customize solutions for manufacturing clients and address field issues. Conduct root-cause analysis, CAPA, and implement engineering changes as required. Provide on-site and remote technical support, customer training, and knowledge transfer to ensure successful adoption and usage. Create and execute test plans, validation protocols, and report results; support quality processes including PFMEA and APQP where applicable. Assist the sales team in scoping projects, clarifying timelines, resources, and feasibility for customer opportunities. Maintain project tracking, issue logs, and provide status updates for both internal and external stakeholders. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. 5+ years of manufacturing experience as an Application Engineer, Product Design, or equivalent. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and a customer-focused approach. Willingness to travel to customer sites and service centers as required (typically up to 10 - 20%).
