Software Engineer

Actalent is hiring for several Software Engineers to join our team! We are seeking individuals with 3-5+ years of experience. Responsibilities Take ownership of tasks and work independently on them. Engage in design discussions, bug fixing, and code reviews. Participate in and contribute to team discussions. Mentor interns or new hires, fostering a collaborative learning environment. Work on embedded hardware or low-level communication protocol Develop applications running in custom Linux builds and some bare-metal systems for sensors and regulators. Essential Skills At least 3 years of experience in software engineering in C++. Proficiency in embedded software, Linux, and nice to have, Yocto.

Nice to have:

experience in cybersecurity. Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred. Ability to articulate and demonstrate previous experience in software engineering. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in manufacturing or production environments is advantageous but not mandatory. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Marcos, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $48.00/hr.
