Full Job Description:
Aequitine is seeking a SECRET cleared software engineer to join our NSWC Crane team. This position will support the MX division with the development of command and control (C2) systems. The primary platform of support will be the Minotaur platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, code, test, and debug new software or enhancements to existing software.
- Assist in developing concept of operations for new platform. This will entail testing at remote locations, test plan input, and other technical inputs.
- Work with technical staff to understand problems with software and resolve them.
- Track work items using JIRA, and commit code using Bitbucket (git).
- Work closely with government and contractor team in order to vet requirements, track progress, and test platform prototypes. Provide input on ways to expedite testing, code delivery, and streamline improvements to the software development lifecycle.
- Provide support to hardware in the loop testing to evaluate software performance, system response, and mission behavior as it pertains to system effectiveness.
- Contribute to contract deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.
Requirements:
- SECRET eligible
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems or other related field plus 2 years of experience. Experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- Technical skills utilizing Java (11), Protobuf, JSON, XML, C++
- Git, JIRA, Confluence, DevOps principles, and unit testing principles
Ideal Candidate Bonus:
- Familiarity with NSWC Crane portfolio of C2 platforms.
Support of NSWC Crane field operations and test events.
