Note:
This role may have a hybrid work arrangement, but the primary location will be at the customer facility at NSWC Crane. This position requires that the candidate be able to obtain a government security clearance up to TS/SCI.

  • The pay range is commensurate with level of experience and contract guidelines
  • The work setting is in person initially with hybrid capability dictated by government contract requirements.

Full Job Description:
Aequitine is seeking a cleared software engineer to join our NSWC Crane team. Our goal is transforming a current C2 system in order provide a modern, cloud native operating baseline. Additionally, the new platform will be capable of ingesting data from multiple radar and optical sensor platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, code, test, and debug new software or enhancements to existing software.
  • Assist in developing concept of operations for new platform. This will entail testing at remote locations, test plan input, and other technical inputs.
  • Work with technical staff to understand problems with software and resolve them.
  • Track work items using JIRA, and commit code using Bitbucket (git).
  • Work closely with government and contractor team in order to vet requirements, track progress, and test platform prototypes. Provide input on ways to expedite testing, code delivery, and streamline improvements to the software development lifecycle.
  • Provide support to hardware in the loop testing to evaluate software performance, system response, and mission behavior as it pertains to system effectiveness.
  • Contribute to contract deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.
Requirements:
  • TS/SCI clearance, or TS with SCI eligibility
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems or other related field plus 2 years of experience. Experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Technical skills utilizing Java (11), Protobuf, JSON, XML, C++
  • Git, JIRA, Confluence, DevOps principles, and unit testing principles
Ideal Candidate Bonus:
  • Familiarity with NSWC Crane portfolio of C2 platforms.
Support of NSWC Crane field operations and test events.
Pay:
$85,000.00
  • $100,000.
