What is NDT you might be asking yourself? NDT is a testing and analysis technique used by many different industries such as oil & gas, military, power generation, aerospace and much, much more. Zetec is a global leader in NDT and located right here in beautiful Snoqualmie, WA.
JOB SUMMARY
The Zetec Engineering team focuses on the design and development of non-destructive eddy current test systems and probes. This role is a challenging, diverse, and rewarding position where you will have the ability to influence a variety of projects and products of Zetec. The team supports robotics, instrumentation, desktop applications and the automation of it all.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Performs intermediate to complex analysis and design for existing and/or new Zetec software products.
  • Designs, develops, maintains, and troubleshoots software programs for a variety of hardware platforms including desktop PC and handheld devices.
  • Assists with defining requirements for new and/or existing software programs.
  • Completes and communicates moderately complex design and performs moderately complex maintenance on existing software products. In addition, it includes extension and creation of automated tests for said designs and maintenance.
  • Works with Product Test team to enable them to complete program testing.
  • Interfaces with Zetec departments and/or customers to facilitate communication and exchange of ideas.
  • Designing unit tests and or retrofitting code for tests to support our high-quality standards.
  • May also develop and implement signal treatment algorithms.
  • May be requested to give basic software or SDK training.
  • Follows all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Occasional extended hours may be required to fulfill the requirements of this position.
  • Other duties as required in support of the department and the company.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years programming experience in a variety of languages, including object-oriented languages.
  • Experience designing and implementing user interface-based applications.
  • C# and C++ experience required.
  • STL, SQL, and Boost experience preferred.
  • Interfacing with hardware control systems a plus.

The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate. The working conditions of this position will consist of both office and electronic manufacturing plant environments with periodic exposure to noise levels, chemical compounds and fumes associated with the manufacturing of electronic components, epoxy, solder, etc.
