Job Description

$155000 - $175000 A leading technology-driven logistics company is hiring a full-time Staff Software Engineer for a hybrid role based near Elmhurst, IL (1 day onsite weekly). This position focuses on building and scaling a modern platform using .NET, Azure, and distributed systems to support real-time operations across internal teams and external partners. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced engineer who wants to influence architecture at a broad level without moving into people management. The organization is tackling complex challenges across event-driven systems, integrations, and data architecture. Engineers in this role have a direct impact on how multiple teams build and scale, with strong executive visibility and the chance to mentor senior talent while shaping long-term technical strategy. Required Skills & Experience
  • 10+ years of experience building production systems
  • Deep expertise in .NET, C#, and ASP.NET Core
  • Strong experience with Azure services (App Service, Functions, messaging systems)
  • Experience designing distributed, event-driven systems
  • Proven background building APIs and integration platforms
  • Experience with system design, scalability, and data architecture Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical direction across teams
  • Background in logistics, marketplaces, or high-integration platforms
  • Experience with frontend frameworks or mobile applications
  • Knowledge of authentication/authorization patterns (OAuth, SSO, RBAC)
