JOB DUTIES
Contribute to the engineering team, building highly performant data processing solutions. Solve complex engineering challenges, devising creative solutions, and providing guidance on complex engineering matters. Design, develop, and maintain microservices following best practices, ensuring optimal performance and integration with other system components. Create, optimize, and manage data structures and pipelines. Work with complex data models and ensure smooth data flow within the system. Integrate external services and Application Programming Interfaces (API) as required to enhance functionality and interoperability. Stay up to date with emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry trends, driving the adoption of new tools and methodologies. Collaborate closely with Data Analysts, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to ensure engineering solutions are aligned with the business needs. Implement and maintain robust security protocols, ensuring data privacy and compliance with relevant regulations. Follow and promote best practices in coding, design, and development methodologies, maintaining quality and consistency across the team. Provide guidance support and mentorship, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. Conduct code reviews and offer constructive feedback to ensure code quality, maintainability, and system scalability. SALARY:
$153,500-$220,000/yr. LOCATION
3803 West Chester Pike, Suite 105, Newtown Square, PA 19073. •100% remote position reporting to Newtown Square, PA. REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, software engineering, computer information systems or related field of study and 8 years of progressive experience in software engineering. Employer will also accept Master's degree or equivalent in computer science, software engineering, computer information systems or related field of study and 5 years of experience in software engineering, in lieu of a Bachelor's and 8 years of progressive experience. Applicants must have demonstrated experience with: 1) 8 years of experience with designing, building, and maintaining scalable and full stack solutions, including work with microservices architecture. 2) 8 years of experience with building large-scale, distributed applications, software architecture, design patterns, and system scalability. 3) 8 years of experience working with data storage solutions including SQL and NoSQL databases. 4) 8 years of experience working in one object oriented or functional programming language. Any and all experience may be gained concurrently. For skills #1 through #4, employer will accept 5 years of experience when qualifying with a Master's degree.
