We are looking for a Technical Lead who will take ownership of the product from a technical standpoint-establishing direction, raising standards, and leading the engineering effort to transform and expand the platform. This is not a maintenance role. This is a leadership role focused on stabilizing, scaling, and rebuilding where necessary . What You Will Be Responsible For Assess the current system architecture, codebase, and technical debt, and establish a clear path forward Define and enforce development standards, architecture decisions, and engineering practices Lead and mentor a small team of developers, setting expectations for quality, speed, and accountability Architect and support scalable, enterprise-grade systems capable of long-term growth Drive the development of new capabilities and modernization of existing components Design and implement REST APIs for internal and external integrations Ensure system reliability, performance, and security Leverage modern AI-assisted development tools to accelerate development and improve quality Work closely with product and leadership to align technical execution with business outcomes This role is expected to combine hands-on development + technical leadership . This expectation is consistent with how technical leads operate—owning product performance, mentoring developers, and driving technical direction. Must-Have Capabilities 5+ years of experience in full stack development, with strong focus on Python and Django Proven track record of architecting and supporting large-scale enterprise applications Strong experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) Strong front-end development capability (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) Demonstrated ability to write clean, well-structured, maintainable code Experience designing and building REST APIs Experience working in Agile environments with version control systems Experience using modern AI development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or equivalent) Ability to evaluate existing systems and make decisive architectural improvements Nice-to-Have Experience Experience building APIs using Django REST Framework (DRF) Experience with Apple Wallet and/or Google Pay integrations Experience with Redis Experience with Docker and Kubernetes Experience with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager Formal degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field If this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
