req1751 SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Software Engineer II .Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Summary :
SEACORP is currently seeking a full-time mid-level Software Engineer. The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience and be able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance. This role will work closely with a team comprised of government and SEACORP personnel requiring strong programming, problem-solving, and communication skills. This role will help to lead the development process so effective sprint planning, task delegation, code review, and testing coordination skills will be utilized.Job Responsibilities Include:
Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Update or enhance existing software capabilities. Work with other functional disciplines (e.g., project management, acquisition, logistics, security, etc.) to integrate hardware and software systems, develop specifications, and performance requirements. Maintain databases within an application area. Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware, or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance. Advise customer about or perform maintenance of software system. Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system. Consult with engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements, or resolve customer problems. Direct software programming and development of documentation. Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements. Confer with data processing or project managers to obtain information on limitations or capabilities for data processing projects. Consult with customers or other departments on project status, proposals, or technical issues, such as software system design or maintenance. Prepare reports or correspondence concerning project specifications, activities, or status.Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field such as engineering or mathematics (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems)Experience:
3 years of experience.Ideal Skills and Experience:
Experience with applying programming concepts in a professional or academic setting. Experience with applying modern software development methodologies (e.g. agile, DEVOPS/DEVSECOPS) in a professional or academic setting.
