The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in embedded software development, signal processing, and hardware integration, with a focus on creating reliable, efficient, and compliant RTOS solutions for critical healthcare applications. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative medical technologies that improve patient outcomes through advanced software engineering and system optimization. Duties Design, develop, and optimize real-time operating system kernels tailored for medical device applications, ensuring high reliability and safety standards. Implement embedded software solutions utilizing ARM architecture, OS Kernels, and firmware development practices to meet stringent regulatory requirements. Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate sensors, FPGA components, PCB designs, and other electronic modules into cohesive systems. Develop and maintain software components using languages such as C, C++, Python, Objective-C, and scripting languages like Bash or Perl for automation and testing purposes. Create and test APIs including RESTful API interfaces for seamless communication between devices and cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft SQL Server. Conduct debugging, unit testing, and software troubleshooting to identify issues quickly and ensure robust performance across diverse operating systems including Linux and Windows environments. Utilize tools such as Simulink, UML diagrams, GitHub, Jenkins, SVN, and Confluence for version control, documentation, and continuous integration workflows. Develop algorithms related to signal processing, machine learning models, or quantum engineering techniques to enhance device functionality. Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards such as encryption protocols and network security measures like TCP/IP, Ethernet, Zigbee, VoIP protocols for secure data transmission. Participate in Agile development cycles emphasizing software quality assurance (QA), test automation frameworks, and comprehensive documentation to meet industry standards. Requirements Proven experience in embedded software development within the medical device industry or similar regulated environments. Strong proficiency in C/C++ (5 years), Python, JavaScript, Java, C#, Visual Basic, PHP, HTML/CSS for application development and scripting tasks. In-depth knowledge of RTOS kernels (such as FreeRTOS or VxWorks), ARM architecture processors, OS internals, and assembly language programming. Familiarity with FPGA design principles and soldering techniques for hardware-software integration projects. Experience working with PCB design tools and sensors integration to develop hardware interfaces. Knowledge of database management systems including MySQL and SQL Server for data storage solutions; experience with
JSON/XML
data formats is essential. Ability to implement RESTful APIs using frameworks compatible with embedded systems; understanding of network protocols such as
TCP/IP, DHCP, WAN/LAN
configurations. Skills in analysis techniques involving algorithm design for signal processing or machine learning applications relevant to medical diagnostics. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or content development tools such as Jira for project management; familiarity with UML modeling is advantageous. Strong debugging skills combined with expertise in software testing methodologies including unit testing and test automation frameworks. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams following Agile methodologies.
