As a Procurement Performance Engineer at Volvo Cars, you will support both strategic and operational procurement activities through data-driven insights, cost analysis, and supplier performance monitoring. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to enable fact-based decision-making aligned with Volvo Cars' objectives related to cost, quality, delivery, engineering, sustainability, and risk management. This role is ideal for a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional with strong engineering and business acumen, including the ability to transform complex data into clear, actionable insights. What you'll do Engineer and maintain procurement dashboards, reports, and executive summaries.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency and transparency across procurement systems and reporting tools.
Support audits, compliance requirements, and internal controls related to procurement activities.
Prepare materials for internal reviews, governance forums and management presentations.
Track, analyze, and report KPI's related to Direct Material, Indirect Material, and Supplier Performance Management, including reporting to Plant Business Office as needed.
Organize and execute Performance Reviews across all departments within Procurement Americas.
Contribute to the development, engineering, standardization, and continuous improvement of Procurement processes and analytical standards.
Identify process inefficiencies and support continuous improvement initiatives across procurement operations. Support data governance and maintain accuracy across procurement systems and databases. Prepare clear and concise summaries and executive-ready insights for management reviews.
Create, coordinate and follow up on training plans for new team members (SPM/DM Buyer/IDP Buyer, Program, and Cost Engineering functions).
Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives as requested, including coordinating and managing Global Visitor agendas.
What you'll bring
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent professional experience.
2-5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain analytics, finance, engineering or a similar analytical role.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to communicate complex data and insights in a clear and effective manner. Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI) Strong presentation and stakeholder communication skills. Other Duties
