Job Description

Overview Astrion's Systems Engineering Group (SEG) has openings for summer internships in Trajectory, Signatures, Systems, Data Analysis, Software Development, CAD, Sensors, Cyber and Radar Systems at our Columbia, Maryland Office. Approximate 10-week program. Systems Engineering Group, Inc. (SEG) is a highly regarded provider of air and missile defense threat engineering and combat, radar, and missile systems engineering and analysis. Principal customers include the U.S. Navy, Missile Defense Agency, and Industry.
Anticipated responsibilities and/or assigned projects:
The development of analytical models and tools to characterize threat ballistic and cruise missile performance. These include supporting ongoing activities in the following areas: Six Degrees-of-Freedom (6-DOF) digital flight simulation data and model generation Radio Frequency (RF) Signature models Computer Aided Design (CAD) models Phenomenological models for missile debris, clutter, and RF signature waking Machine learning studies and data analysis Generating documentation for all data and models Interfacing with SEG management, program management, and government customers SEG provides outstanding training to grow the capacity of staff in relevant areas.
Minimum Requirements:
Ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD security clearance. US citizenship is required for eligibility as per the cognizant security agency and requirements of the programs supported in this role. All candidates must be currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program at an accredited college or university. Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater. Degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and write code to process and analyze data using MATLAB, Python, C++, and Java. Experience with documentation and presentations using Microsoft Office products (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word). Ability to work effectively in small teams or groups. Ability to work independently with guidance as needed. #CJ #LI-AD1
