Job Description

Its engineers build critical infrastructure to eliminate friction in scientific research, simulations, analysis, and decision-making, accelerating discovery and driving faster innovation. The Position The AI-Focused Software Engineer will design and build applications, services, and tooling that support both infrastructure operations and AI-driven initiatives. This role requires extensive software engineering expertise. The engineer will help scale and integrate AI capabilities into broader systems while ensuring platforms remain secure, reliable, and developer-friendly, thus a strong preference will be given to candidates with experience working on projects that have incorporated AI or ML based workflows. Responsibilities Develop and maintain software solutions that integrate AI/ML components into core business systems. Build applications and tooling that improve infrastructure automation and developer productivity. Deliver high-quality, maintainable code in an agile, self-organizing environment. Provide ongoing support including proactive bug fixes and handling feature requests. Stay aware of developments in AI tooling and apply relevant advancements to improve platforms. Required Skills Strong background in software engineering with experience building scalable applications. Proficiency in Python; exposure to .NET and Go is a significant plus. Knowledge of test-driven development (TDD) and clean coding practices. Hands-on work with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). Experience with agile methodologies, retrospectives, and continuous improvement. Experience with cloud AWS and/or Azure Preferred Experience Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and practical exposure to projects leveraging them. Experience integrating AI services or APIs into larger software systems. Familiarity with querying and managing telemetry/logging systems Experience with microservices architectures and cloud-based deployments.
