Senior Application Engineer - Restricted to current employees

Performs advanced application development and integration support, including providing technical guidance to less experienced developers and high-level user support. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent from a nationally, regionally or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education and three years' work experience in a related technical position OR Associates degree in computer science or equivalent AND five years' work experience in a related technical position required. (transcripts must be attached to the application submission) Advanced experience with Git, ASP.NET, and IDEs such as Eclipse or Visual Studio. Advanced experience with object-oriented programming in Java and C#, as well as JavaScript, XML, CSS, HTML, and PowerShell. Advanced experience working with SQL; UniData preferred. Experience developing and maintaining the Ellucian Colleague ERP system and Ellucian SaaS products. Ability to develop highly complex programs using structured, top-down programming logic and to work efficiently within established design methodologies. Ability to develop and maintain ancillary and third-party applications that integrate with the Ellucian Colleague ERP system. Ability to create reports from various data sources using reporting tools. Experience managing medium to large-scale software development projects. Must exhibit proficiency across all phases of the software development cycle. Provide support and guidance for less experienced developers. Must possess advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to interact frequently and professionally with end users. Must possess strong technical research and documentation skills. Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Must be able to work cooperatively as a team member and demonstrate a strong commitment to IT Information Systems priorities and objectives. Develop complex applications from planning through completion and maintenance. Provide advanced support and enhancements for Ellucian Colleague and other Ellucian SaaS products and solutions, such as Experience, Self-Service, CRM Recruit, and CRM Advise. Develop improvements to existing applications, databases, and third-party or ancillary systems. Develop, support, and enhance web applications using the .NET platform. Provide technical assistance to end users using advanced report-writing tools. Demonstrate technical proficiency, creativity, and the ability to collaborate frequently with other developers and end users. Analyzes and resolves application issues reported through the IT Help Desk. Write technical and functional documentation. Assist in training of Software Developers. Other duties as assigned.
