Job Description ZipStaff is a specialized staffing partner helping top technology professionals connect with high-impact opportunities at leading organizations. We are currently seeking a Java Quality Engineer to support Stock Plan Services technology for a major financial services organization. This role focuses on ensuring high-quality delivery of critical applications through strong test automation, robust testing practices, and close collaboration within an Agile environment. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and execute automated test suites for complex distributed applications Perform testing across multiple layers of the technology stack Own the end-to-end Test Management lifecycle Create and maintain test strategies and automation frameworks for new products and applications Collaborate closely with development and product teams in an Agile environment using Jira Ensure high-quality releases through strong automation, thorough validation, and continuous improvement Required Qualifications Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot Solid SQL skills and experience with relational databases (Oracle, DB2, or PostgreSQL), including PL/SQL, complex queries, views, and packages Proven experience in test automation using frameworks such as RestAssured, Playwright, Karate, Cucumber, or TestNG Experience testing distributed applications across multiple technology layers Hands-on experience with the full Test Management lifecycle Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices (GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Docker, SonarQube) Experience with Azure or AWS cloud technologies and DevOps practices Experience working in Agile teams using Jira Ability to independently design test strategies and automation suites for new applications Preferred Qualifications Experience in Stock Plan Services, equity compensation, or brokerage platforms is a big plus
