About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Solutions Engineer to support engineering operations, product configuration, and cross-functional problem-solving throughout the organization. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys investigating issues, analyzing data, managing engineering workflows, and developing practical solutions for customers and internal stakeholders. You will work closely with Engineering Design, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, and Quality teams to ensure product information, documentation, and engineering changes are accurate and effectively implemented. If you have a passion for research, process improvement, and translating technical requirements into actionable solutions, this position may be the perfect fit. Key Responsibilities Analyze customer specifications and develop solutions that meet customer requirements and applicable industry standards Manage engineering workflows and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), including updates to: Bills of Materials (BOMs) Routings Drawings and revisions Review engineering work orders to ensure correct documentation and revision control Partner with Operations and Supply Chain teams to resolve production and material-related issues Perform engineering calculations and product safety evaluations Support acquisition and maintenance of product certifications and compliance documentation Monitor and update engineering data within ERP and related business systems Investigate customer inquiries and internal issues, providing timely and effective resolutions Support ongoing engineering solutions projects and continuous improvement initiatives Collaborate across departments to provide technical expertise and engineering support Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university Mechanical Engineering degree preferred Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment Experience with ERP systems and engineering change management processes Working knowledge of SolidWorks or similar CAD software Familiarity with technical drawings, BOMs, routings, and revision control Experience supporting product certifications, compliance activities, or engineering documentation Why Join Welker?
