Agensys is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Engineer - Level 3 to join our team supporting SOCOM at Fort Meade/Annapolis Junction. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to mission-critical systems that directly support national security. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Linux environments, embedded software development, and cybersecurity measures to safeguard against evolving threats.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement software solutions supporting SOCOM's operations. Work extensively with embedded software, programming across multiple platforms and architectures. Manage and maintain codebases using tools like Git, ensuring smooth integration and operation on Linux-based systems. Utilize Python, C, and C++ to develop, test, and deploy applications compatible across various devices. Conduct vulnerability research, reverse engineering, and Computer Network Operations (CNO) development. Identify, assess, and mitigate software vulnerabilities while implementing safeguards against known and emerging cybersecurity threats. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions align with mission req uirements and security protocols. Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot systems to ensure reliability and high availability. Mentor junior engineers, offering guidance on development tools, best practices, and security protocols.
Key Req uirements:
Clearance:
Active TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum 9 years of professional experience in software engineering, particularly in Linux-based systems. Hands-on experience in embedded software programming and development across multiple platforms and architectures. Proficiency in Python, C, and C++, with experience using tools like Git and Ghidra. Familiarity with vulnerability research, reverse engineering, and CNO development. Demonstrated ability to secure software systems by identifying and resolving vulnerabilities.
Certifications:
Security+ or equivalent IAT Level II certification is req uired (or the ability to obtain it).
Work Environment:
Must be able to work on-site at Annapolis Junction, MD, 5 days per week.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working within the defense or intelligence community. Knowledge of SOCOM's operational needs and technical req uirements. Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with agile development methodologies. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
