Job Description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Simulation Developer to join a team developing next-generation modeling and simulation capabilities that support critical defense and naval mission objectives. This role is ideal for a software engineer with experience building simulation environments, game-based systems, or virtual training platforms who wants to contribute to high-impact national security programs. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain advanced modeling and simulation applications. Build and integrate simulation capabilities within larger mission and system architectures. Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and operational SMEs to improve simulation fidelity and performance. Develop new features, conduct testing and validation, and troubleshoot complex technical issues. Support interoperability and mission-focused testing efforts, including Naval Capabilities Integration Process (NCIP) initiatives. Lead project planning, technical documentation, data collection, and stakeholder coordination activities. Required Qualifications TS/SCI clearance Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Game Development, or a related technical discipline. 3+ years of software development experience focused on modeling, simulation, gaming, or virtual environments. Proficiency in one or more programming languages including C++, C#, Python, or Java. Experience with simulation or game-development platforms such as AFSIM, Unity, Unreal Engine, Simio, or Arena. Familiarity with Git or other version control systems and collaborative development practices. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced technical environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting military, defense, or operational modeling and simulation programs. Knowledge of Naval systems and the Naval Capabilities Integration Process (NCIP). Familiarity with 3D graphics, physics engines, and database technologies such as SQL. Experience working in Agile or Scrum software development environments.
