TS/SCI with CI Polygraph (or ability to obtain) Our client, a highly respected Federal IC Integrator, is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence and Data Analytics Software Engineering Lead to support a mission-critical Intelligence Community customer. This position supports senior government leadership by designing, developing and maintaining enterprise reporting, analytics, data brokering and data solutions that enable financial and acquisition decision-making.Position description:
Lead a team of 5-6 data analysts and software engineers working within a collaborative government and contractor environment. The successful candidate will support an enterprise data warehouse environment by developing business intelligence solutions, optimizing data processes, supporting complex data analytics and reporting, and delivering responsive customer support. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with outstanding analytical, communication, and customer service skills. Experience or knowledge in one or more of the following programming languages and technologies (or similar equivalent) is a must: Tableau, IBM DataStage ETL, PL/SQL, or Business Objects.Duties and responsibilities:
Provide leadership and tasking to team of 5-6 developers; provide expertise during design, test and customer requirements meetings. Report weekly, monthly and quarterly team status to Deputy Program Manager. Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions supporting enterprise financial and acquisition systems.- Develop, enhance, and support reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Tableau, Business Objects, or comparable BI platforms.
- Develop and optimize complex SQL and PL/SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
- Support enterprise data warehouse operations, extract transform and load (ETL) processes, and data integration activities using IBM DataStage or comparable technologies.
- Analyze complex business and technical requirements and translate them into efficient, scalable software solutions.
- Troubleshoot application, interface, database, and data quality issues to ensure reliable system performance.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production issues.
- Provide responsive on-site technical support to government users and senior leadership.
- Support financial system interfaces and transaction processing to ensure data integrity and operational continuity.
- Participate in software releases by supporting integration testing, user acceptance testing, and production deployments.
- Recommend and implement process improvements that enhance system performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles.
- Collaborate with government stakeholders, functional analysts, and technical teams to deliver mission-critical capabilities.
Education and qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance.
- Current CI Polygraph or ability to obtain one.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Demonstrated experience developing and supporting enterprise software applications.
- Strong experience with SQL and PL/SQL development.
- Experience with Oracle Database, MariaDB, or comparable relational database platforms.
- Experience developing reports and dashboards using Tableau, Business Objects, or similar BI tools.
- Experience supporting enterprise data warehouse environments and ETL processes.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience developing technical documentation and supporting software testing activities.
