Location:

On-Site; Roanoke, VA | Full-Time Do you enjoy building software that directly supports business operations? At Metis, we take a unique approach to commercial insurance through administrating self-insurance Risk Pools. If you are looking for a change and a challenge, we are looking for a dedicated Software Developer to join our growing team. The position is on-site at our campus in Roanoke, VA. A hybrid option may be available after training.

You'll Do Things Like:

Develop software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes. Build software applications that adhere to designs supporting internal business requirements or external customers. Develop documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code. Obtains and licenses software by obtaining required information from vendors.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of four (4) years of demonstrated experience in complex systems design, programming, and software support. College degree preferred in Computer Science or related discipline.
