CI/CD Contract - 12 Months, with possible 6-month extension Manassas, VA Develop, maintain, and support software solutions across backend and frontend applications, operations and maintenance (O&M), coding initiatives, and emerging AI use cases. The role requires strong object-oriented programming skills, database experience, UNIX command-line knowledge, and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to evolving technologies and business requirements. Developers will collaborate with cross-functional and virtual teams to solve immediate technical challenges, manage workloads, troubleshoot issues, and deliver reliable software solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, debug, maintain, and enhance software applications based on business and technical requirements.

Support both backend and frontend development activities across multiple projects and use cases.

Participate in operations and maintenance (O&M) activities for existing applications and systems.

Develop software using object-oriented programming languages such as C#, C++, or Java.

Write and maintain SQL queries and work with relational databases.

Navigate UNIX/Linux environments and utilize command-line tools and shell scripting.

Support development and implementation of AI-related solutions and use cases as required.

Analyze technical requirements and develop solutions that address immediate business needs.

Troubleshoot application, database, integration, and system-related issues.

Participate in Agile software development processes and team activities.

Utilize Visual Studio and .NET Framework/Core for application development where applicable.

Develop web applications and user interfaces using Angular, React, JavaScript, or related technologies.

Support web services and application integrations.

Participate in DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance.

Apply basic AWS services, tools, and commands to support cloud-based development activities.

Continuously learn and adapt to new programming languages, development tools, frameworks, and technologies.

Manage assigned tasks, priorities, and workload to meet project deadlines.

Collaborate effectively with developers, technical teams, customers, and other stakeholders.

Participate in virtual team environments and maintain effective working relationships across distributed teams.

Communicate technical information clearly through written documentation, meetings, and presentations.

Education/Experience:

U.S. Citizenship is required.

Software development experience commensurate with the applicable level.

Strong experience with at least one object-oriented programming language, such as C#, C++, or Java.

Experience or working knowledge of UNIX navigation, commands, and shell scripting.

Experience working with SQL databases.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Agile software development experience preferred.

Experience with Visual Studio and .NET Framework/Core preferred.

Experience with Angular, React, and/or JavaScript preferred.

Basic AWS knowledge and command-line experience preferred.

Experience with DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines preferred.

Web services development or integration experience preferred.
