Job Description
Description We're looking for a Solutions Architect to serve as the technical backbone of the Shop Direct Business Development team within Amazon's Off-Amazon Selection (OAS) program. In this role, you'll partner closely with Account Managers and Business Development to convert merchant interest into live, scalable integrations — removing the technical friction that stands between off-Amazon and hybrid brands and their selection going live on Amazon. You'll be the go-to technical expert across the merchant lifecycle: scoping integration requirements during recruitment, guiding merchants and their feed syndicators (VersaFeed, GoDataFeed, Productsup, and others) through SP-API role access and catalog integration, and troubleshooting onboarding issues so listings surface reliably in the Shop Direct search widget. You'll translate merchant needs into technical solutions and feed real-world friction back to product and engineering teams to improve the platform. Key job responsibilities Pre-sales technical support — Partner with Account Managers on prospect calls to assess merchant feasibility, scope integration paths, and set clear technical expectations. Integration architecture — Design and recommend the right onboarding approach per merchant, whether direct SP-API, feed syndicator, or platform partner (e.g., Wix, Stripe). Onboarding enablement — Guide merchants and their developers/syndicators through SP-API role access, catalog feed setup, and validation until selection is live and discoverable. Troubleshooting — Diagnose and resolve integration blockers (e.g., listings not appearing in the search widget) in coordination with search, product, and engineering teams. Cross-functional feedback loop — Surface recurring technical friction to product and engineering to drive platform and process improvements that scale. Scalability & tooling — Identify opportunities to reduce manual onboarding effort and help build repeatable, documented integration playbooks. A day in the life Merchant integration support Join prospect and onboarding calls with Account Managers to scope technical feasibility and integration paths. Guide merchants and their developers/syndicators (VersaFeed, GoDataFeed, Productsup) through SP-API role access and catalog feed setup. Troubleshooting Diagnose live integration blockers Coordinate with search, product, and engineering teams to unblock merchant onboarding. Solution design Recommend the right onboarding approach per merchant (direct SP-API vs. feed syndicator vs. platform partner like Wix or Stripe). Document repeatable integration playbooks to reduce manual effort. Cross-functional feedback Log recurring technical friction and surface it to product/engineering for platform improvements. Pipeline hygiene About the team The Shop Direct Business Development Team We're part of Amazon's Off-Amazon Selection (OAS) organization, focused on the Shop Direct motion — the lower-lift path for bringing off-Amazon and hybrid brands onto Amazon. Our job is to recruit those merchants and make their selection discoverable to Amazon customers through the Shop Direct search widget.
What we do:
Merchant recruitment — We identify and engage off-Amazon and hybrid brands, building the pipeline of partners who bring new selection to Amazon customers. Partner onboarding — We guide merchants and their feed syndicators (VersaFeed, GoDataFeed, Productsup) through SP-API role access and catalog integration, removing the friction that keeps their products from showing up reliably. Ecosystem partnerships — We build relationships with platforms and syndicators (like Wix and Stripe) that expand how merchants can join the program. Cross-functional coordination — We work alongside search, product, and engineering to unblock onboarding and improve the merchant experience. How we operate:
One source of truth in Salesforce, clear ownership of every merchant relationship, and full visibility into engagement stage and history — so we always know who's engaging which merchant and what's happened so far.
