With proven expertise and deployments worldwide, Ampacimon supports grid operators in unlocking hidden capacity, detecting insulation defects at an early stage, strengthening grid resilience and accelerating the integration of renewable energy. ‍ About the role ‍ As a Software Engineer, you'll design, develop, test, and maintain the software systems and applications at the heart of our business. Reporting to the Lead of Software Development, you'll collaborate across teams to turn ideas into reliable, well-built features. ‍ You'll work in an international, collaborative environment alongside engineers, product managers, and delivery teams who care about solving real problems. If you enjoy taking ownership, learning continuously, and seeing your work make an impact, we'd love to hear from you. ‍ What you'll do ‍ Design, write, and review clean, maintainable, secure and efficient code Collaborate with product managers, other engineers and delivery teams to define and implement new features Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software bugs and performance issues Write and maintain automated tests Contribute to technical documentation, architecture discussions, and code reviews Stay current with emerging technologies, best practices, and industry trends ‍ What we're looking for ‍ 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer (or an equivalent role) A BSc or MSc in Computer Science or Data Science Proficiency in Java or Angular (both is a plus) Experience with a SQL or Document/NoSql database (both is a plus) Strong written and verbal communication in French and English Comfort working in an international environment with remote teams A genuine appetite for learning new technologies and taking on varied tasks Confidence with troubleshooting and debugging ‍ Nice to have ‍ Any of the following would strengthen your application - we don't expect all of them: ‍ Experience with Linux systems (Debian based preferably) Experience with CI pipelines and unit testing Experience with PostgresSQL, MsSQLServer or MongoDB Experience in Backend and Frontend development Familiar with Java EE concepts and tools Familiar with JWT authentication Familiar with API design Familiar with Cloud technologies (preferably AWS) Familiar with security best practices Familiar with Python ‍ How to apply ‍ To apply, fill in the form below or send your application to jobs@ampacimon.com.
