This role also includes an annual bonus, and the hiring manager has flexibility for an exceptional candidate with highly relevant experience. Kelly Engineering is seeking a hands-on Systems Architect to lead the technical direction of a complex optical/electrical hardware product. This is not an IT, cloud, or enterprise software architect role. It is an opportunity for an engineer who wants meaningful ownership, enjoys building new products, and can guide difficult technical decisions from concept through execution.
Responsibilities:
Lead system-level architecture for a complex hardware product. Define how optical, electrical, sensing, imaging, and related subsystems work together. Identify technical risks and make key architecture and design decisions. Provide technical leadership across cross-functional engineering teams. Support product development from early concept through execution. Help shape the technical direction of a growing program.
Requirements:
Strong background in optical engineering, electrical engineering, optical systems, imaging, sensing, displays, or related hardware technologies. Systems architecture experience with complex hardware products. Experience developing new products from concept through execution. Ability to lead and influence cross-functional engineering teams. AR/VR, eye tracking, wearables, imaging, display, optics, or sensor experience is highly preferred. Ability to work onsite in Madison, WI or relocate.
