Job Description
## Standard Job Description Manages software development activities. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Oversees the design, development, documentation, and testing of software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Ensures software standards are met. This position is for a Software Manager supporting the Long Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW) program. The position required strong communication skills, the ability to work both independantly and in team environments, and to interface with the software developers, test engineers, system engineers, program management , quality assurance engineers, customer respresentatives. ## Basic Qualifications
- Technical background in Software Eningeering.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and behaviors that align with Full Spectrum Leadership Imperatives.
- Experience with planning and coordinating software development activities in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledgeable in formal Software Engineering Process and Tools, including experience in executing in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience in leadiing technical meetings and independent software reviews.
- Willing to learn cost account management principles, techniques, and processes.
- Final Secret Clearance is required prior to start; US citizenship is required. ## Desired Skills
- Experience in Planning - staff, SW dev tools, and maintaining Software Development Plans (SDP).
- Experience supporting technical performance of the project through control activities including reviews, metric data collection, identifying corrective actions and ensuring implementation.
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range:
