This team is responsible for the design, development, and evolution of next-generation secure communication mechanisms that underpin trust boundaries across Apple's platforms. The team's work spans multiple confidential, early-stage engineering initiatives that are foundational to the future security and integrity of iPhone, iPad, Mac, Watch, Apple TV, and Vision Pro product lines. This role requires close collaboration with security, kernel, and platform teams to ensure these technologies are robust, performant, and ready to support Apple's OS roadmap. S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience Experience managing a systems software or infrastructure engineering team Direct experience with low-level systems software, IPC mechanisms, or security-critical infrastructure Deep understanding of operating system fundamentals Proven track record of successful and timely delivery of complex systems software Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to tailor messaging for technical and non-technical audiences Preferred Qualifications Deep understanding of the C programming language Knowledge of Swift, Objective-C, or C++ Knowledge of compiler design, implementation, or toolchain development Experience with UNIX systems and low-level IPC primitives History of shipping complex initiatives on schedule despite ambiguous or shifting requirements Skilled at running effective status reviews, escalations, and alignment meetings across teams Minimum Qualifications Deep understanding of the C programming language Knowledge of Swift, Objective-C, or C++ Knowledge of compiler design, implementation, or toolchain development Experience with UNIX systems and low-level IPC primitives History of shipping complex initiatives on schedule despite ambiguous or shifting requirements Skilled at running effective status reviews, escalations, and alignment meetings across teams Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $206,200 and $356,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
