This is not a traditional IT help-desk position and not a pure software-development position. We are looking for someone who can learn how our engineering business works, identify repetitive or inefficient processes, and build better systems around them. You will work directly with company ownership and our engineering team to improve project management, data collection, engineering production, drafting workflows, automation, AI integration, and internal business systems.
The objective is straightforward: help us produce better engineering work faster, more consistently, and with better information about how our business is performing. Responsibilities Own and improve our project-management and business-management systems, including implementation and administration of platforms such as
You should be comfortable looking at a messy manual process and saying, "There has to be a better way to do this," and then actually building the better way.
Experience in an architecture, engineering, construction, manufacturing, or other technical professional-services business would be particularly valuable. The Person We're Looking For We care more about demonstrated capability than credentials.
You will have substantial freedom to help determine what our technology stack should become. We already have functioning business processes, engineering workflows, project-management systems, accounting systems, and drafting standards. Many of them have developed organically as the company has grown. Your job is to help us systematically improve them. Some projects will take an afternoon. Others may take months. Some solutions will involve configuring commercial software. Others may involve APIs, automation, AI, scripts, databases, or applications that we build ourselves. The position has the potential to grow into a broader Director of Engineering Technology / Business Systems role as the company grows. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, data science, business technology, or a related discipline is preferred but not required . We will strongly consider candidates who can demonstrate equivalent real-world capability through projects, previous employment, GitHub repositories, applications, automation systems, or other technical work. 3+ years of relevant professional experience preferred. AEC-industry experience is valuable but not required. AEC-industry experience is valuable but not required
