About This Job Axos Bank is seeking an Assistant Vice President of Software Development with an emphasis of Outsystems. This is a hands-on development manager with an architect's mindset, someone who leads teams while remaining deeply engaged in technical design and code review. As AVP, Software Development Manager - OutSystems, you will be responsible for designing and implementing applications to digitize and automate business processes and to enhance our digital banking platform. The role combines direct people leadership with active technical contribution, ensuring high-quality delivery across the enterprise using the OutSystems low-code platform (both O11 and ODC).
Responsibilities:

Define and govern solution architecture, integration patterns, and non-functional requirements (performance, security, scalability) across the enterprise OutSystems portfolio. Evaluate OutSystems Forge components, custom extensions, and vendor API integrations appropriate for financial services use cases. Team Leadership & Development Lead, mentor, and performance-manage a team of OutSystems developers (O11 and ODC) across multiple concurrent delivery streams. Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development conversations aligned to OutSystems competency frameworks and professional certification pathways. Recruit and onboard OutSystems talent; assess OutSystems Associate, Professional Developer, and Architecture Specialist certifications during hiring. Foster a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and continuous learning within the development team. Delivery & Product Roadmap Execution Work with Product Team(s) to define functional and non-functional requirements across the enterprise portfolio. Identify and implement opportunities to continuously improve the Outsystems development capabilities and platform maturity. Stakeholder Engagement Work closely and communicate proactively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, from business operations and product teams to technology leadership. Translate business requirements from banking, risk, compliance, and product teams into OutSystems development workstreams and actionable delivery plans. Serve as primary escalation point for delivery risks, and resourcing constraints. Enforce secure development practices across ODC and O11 environments.
Requirements :
