Position Overview As the Development Director, you will lead and inspire a diverse team of developers to deliver engaging, stable, and innovative interactive experiences. Full Software Lifecycle:
Lead the end-to-end development process (designing, coding, debugging, documenting) for both Unreal Engine and Unity-based applications.
Development Roadmapping:
Define and communicate a clear technical roadmap aligning short-term project deliverables with long-term growth and innovation.
Infrastructure & Architecture:
Establish best practices for scalable systems and high-performance code, including Git flow, CI/CD, code reviews, and robust documentation.
Project Management:
Oversee schedules, budgets, and resource allocation. Mitigate risks proactively, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.
Performance Optimization:
Champion profiling and optimization (GPU/CPU), refactoring codebases, and enforcing technical standards to maintain rock-solid stability.
Cross-Discipline Coordination:
Collaborate with art, design, engineering, and project management teams to maintain a unified vision, manage dependencies, and ensure smooth execution.
Risk & Crisis Management:
Identify potential risks early, develop mitigation strategies, and guide teams calmly and effectively through high-pressure situations.
Continuous Alignment:
Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to leadership and clients, ensuring transparency and sustained client satisfaction.
Quality Control & Testing:
Oversee QA processes, advocate for rigorous testing, and ensure thorough documentation of all technical implementations.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement:
Serve as a primary technical liaison, translating business objectives into viable, efficient, and innovative solutions.

Hiring & Onboarding:
Recruit and onboard talent, ensuring the team has the necessary skills and resources to tackle emerging technologies and project challenges. Minimum Qualifications 7+ years of enterprise-level development experience in real-time applications using C# (Unity) and/or Unreal Engine (C++/Blueprints). Strong background in software architecture, going beyond standard design patterns (GoF). Proven proficiency in profiling and optimising GPU/CPU performance. Demonstrated expertise in refactoring and optimising existing codebases for maintainability. Experience managing distributed teams, with proven success in remote collaboration.
