Job Description

We are looking for a Software Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing development team in Kingston, New York. This role combines people leadership, technical direction, and delivery oversight to build secure, reliable software solutions that support organizational goals. The ideal candidate will guide engineering practices, collaborate across business and technical teams, and help shape a scalable roadmap for digital platforms in a regulated environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Direct and support a team of software engineers by providing coaching, feedback, and opportunities for technical growth.
  • Oversee software delivery from initial planning and requirements definition through release, maintenance, and ongoing improvements.
  • Guide the architecture, design, and implementation of applications built with Microsoft technologies, modern JavaScript frameworks, and relational database platforms.
  • Work closely with business partners, security teams, compliance stakeholders, operations staff, and analysts to deliver solutions aligned with user needs and regulatory expectations.
  • Establish and reinforce engineering disciplines such as peer code review, automated test coverage, continuous integration and deployment, and secure development practices.
  • Help define and prioritize a technology roadmap for customer-facing and internal delivery platforms in partnership with leadership committees and business stakeholders.
  • Drive iterative delivery methods that produce usable software on a continuous basis while improving transparency and execution predictability.
  • Promote strong technical documentation, production readiness, and dependable system performance within a high-trust financial services setting.
  • Contribute to architectural standards, governance practices, and reusable design approaches while mentoring engineers in sound technical decision-making.
