Ford and Company Columbus, OH Job Details 1 day ago Qualifications ERP systems Supervising experience Bachelor's degree Cloud-based systems IT Agile software development Full Job Description Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Corporate and Department Planning Develop and operationalize a comprehensive IT strategy covering hardware/software infrastructure, data architecture, and business applications. Establish and manage the technology budget, ensuring all IT expenditures align with business goals and ROI. Set the long-term IT roadmap and spearhead initiatives that align technical capabilities with engineering operations. Business Development - Marketing and Sales Act as the primary liaison between IT and other departments (Engineering, Operations, Finance) to identify technology-driven growth opportunities. Partner with business units to implement and optimize enterprise systems (ERP and engineering software) to improve firm-wide efficiency and client delivery. Support technical requirements for client proposal or engineering software integrations that enhance the firm's market competitiveness. Project Administration Act as the Scrum Master, leading all Agile SCRUM ceremonies (spring planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives). Serve as Program Manager for major technology initiatives, defining project scopes, timeliness, and ensuring on-time delivery. Manage the software development lifecycle pipeline, ensuring tasks are prioritized and documented within scope and budget. Technology Provide hands-on technical leadership, acting as a senior engineer to troubleshoot complex issues across networks, servers, and cloud environments (AWS/Azure). Oversee the administration of LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, and virtualization platforms to ensure high availability. Define and enforce cybersecurity policies, including access controls, data protection, and security frameworks to protect company information. Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) Oversee the software development pipeline, enforcing best practices in DevOps, code reviews, and deployment. Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for system monitoring, maintenance, and incident response. Ensure all IT infrastructure and custom software meet established security and performance specifications. Human Resources and Office Management Manage and mentor a cross-functional team. Supervise daily work, manage performance evaluations, and foster a collaborative team environment. Oversee the helpdesk function to ensure administrative and technical support is provided to all staff efficiently. Continuing Education Stay current on emerging technologies, cybersecurity threats, and Agile methodologies. Identify and facilitate annual training programs for the IT staff to support company objects and individual growth. Maintain relevant certifications (ex. PMP, security or cloud-specific credentials). Special Project and Assignments Assumes responsibilities for special assignments delegated by the Executive Leadership team, such as office expansions, hardware refreshes, or software migrations. Education and Experience 1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. 2. 8+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership/management role. PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent experience is highly appreciated. Proven expertise in Agile SCRUM, Cloud Hosting (AWS/Azure), ERP support, and Network Administration. Work Environment and Physical Demands This job is essentially a sedentary role; however, standing, walking, sitting, reaching with hands and arms, stooping or kneeling, talking, and hearing are required. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds (ex. Servers, hardware). This position operates in a professional office environment. Overtime may be necessary as workloads dictate. This may include weekdays, weekends, and/or holidays. Due to the collaborative nature of this position and accessibility for in-house and on-site client meetings, it is essential that the work be performed in the office and during regular business hours. Some travel may be required. The employee may occasionally be exposed to we and/or humid conditions, high places, fumes, or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, and the risk of electrical shock. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has supervisory responsibilities that include positively influencing others to achieve results that are in the best interest of the company.
