Job Description

Software Engineering Manager Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of software engineers responsible for building and supporting modern enterprise applications and digital platforms. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can develop people, improve engineering processes, contribute technically, and work closely with product, architecture, infrastructure, and business teams. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop a team of front-end, back-end, and full-stack software engineers Provide technical direction while remaining involved in architecture, design, and complex engineering decisions Drive delivery of secure, scalable, and reliable software solutions Establish engineering standards and improve development processes Partner with Product, Architecture, DevOps, Security, and other technology teams Lead application modernization and cloud transformation initiatives Support Agile development practices and modern CI/CD processes Help define technical roadmaps aligned with business priorities Oversee hiring, coaching, performance management, and development of engineering talent Manage project priorities, delivery timelines, technical risks, and team capacity Promote automation, testing, reliability, and continuous improvement Communicate technical strategy, progress, and risks to both technical and business stakeholders Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, MIS, or a related field 10+ years of progressive technology/software engineering experience 3+ years of technical leadership or people management experience Strong understanding of modern software development and Agile practices Experience leading teams responsible for enterprise-scale applications Strong knowledge of modern programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar Experience with relational databases and SQL Experience with cloud-based application development Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and Infrastructure as Code Experience with containers and modern application deployment practices Experience designing and integrating APIs Experience modernizing legacy applications or transitioning to newer architectures Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills Preferred Experience Azure or comparable public cloud platform Docker and Kubernetes Terraform, Ansible, or similar automation/IaC tooling Azure DevOps or comparable CI/CD platforms Salesforce or similar enterprise platforms Application security and DevSecOps practices Automated testing and software reliability practices Experience leading large-scale application modernization initiatives By submitting to this position, you are agreeing to be included in our talent pool for future hiring for similarly qualified positions.
