Analyzes detailed business/functional/technical requirements and specifications for the application (and related application system components) as input to application design and coding. Supports application testing, deployment, maintenance, and evolution activities by correcting programming errors, responding to scope changes, and coding application enhancements. Job Description Summary Responsible for managing or performing work associated with programming and configuration of internal end user applications that are integrated with business processes/data and IT infrastructure. Analyzes detailed business/functional/technical requirements and specifications for the application (and related application system components) as input to application design and coding. Supports application testing, deployment, maintenance, and evolution activities by correcting programming errors, responding to scope changes, and coding application enhancements. Job Duties Define systems engineering strategy aligned with organizational goals. Design and approve system architecture and integration standards. Evaluate emerging technologies for adoption. Lead and mentor systems engineering team members. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (development, operations, security). Manage resource allocation and team performance. Oversee deployment and configuration of enterprise systems. Ensure adherence to best practices and compliance standards. Implement security policies and monitor compliance. Ensure system reliability and disaster recovery readiness. Monitor system performance and optimize for efficiency. Prepare reports and metrics for leadership. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma/GED 7 years related work experience Expertise in systems architecture and design for enterprise environments, with strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems. Proficiency in virtualization and cloud platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, AWS, and Azure, along with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Ansible. Experience in automation and scripting using PowerShell, Python, and Bash, as well as networking fundamentals including DNS, TCP/IP, VLANs, and VPNs. Strong understanding of security and compliance practices, including identity management, zero-trust principles, and regulatory frameworks, plus familiarity with monitoring tools such as Nagios, SolarWinds, Prometheus, and Grafana. Knowledge of CI/CD integration for system deployments and disaster recovery/high availability solutions. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or Master's Degree Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field Physical Demands Lift and carry 7 lbs., continuous sitting >67%, frequent keyboard use/repetitive motion, frequent fine motor activity/wrist position deviation.
