What are we looking for? SoftPro is looking for a Software Development Manager to lead their awesome teams for a new SaaS product initiative. This position is located in our Raleigh, NC office. This is a hybrid position, with a requirement to be in the office 2-3 days a week. The primary responsibility of the Development Manager is to build and maintain high-performing software development teams including hiring, facilitating training and onboarding. They will collaborate closely with the Product Owners and Scrum Masters to ensure the teams are meeting their commitments. This position will report to the Director of Software Engineering. What will I do as the Software Development Manager on the SaaS Team at SoftPro? Champion and continuously improve a modern, Azure-centric SDLC with a focus on agile delivery, DevOps automation and CI/CD. Enforce high engineering standards through code reviews with a relentless focus on technical excellence and secure-by-default design. Drive the adoption of Azure-native tools for observability, resilience, and deployment (e.g., Azure DevOps, Azure Monitor, Application Insights, AKS). Participate in the implementation of Generative AI Assisted / Agentic Coding approaches in our Software Development Lifecycle. Lead teams that are a mix of on- and nearshore (LATAM/Eastern Europe) resources. Own the team's delivery process—from work intake and planning to quality assurance and deployment—ensuring transparency, accountability, and predictable outcomes. Eliminate friction in developer workflows by streamlining tooling, reducing unnecessary meetings, and fostering deep focus time. Encourage experimentation, continuous refactoring, and automation to reduce toil and increase velocity. Make timely decisions, communicate proactively, and adjust quickly to changing priorities without compromising quality or morale. Lead the team through tight timelines while maintaining a sustainable pace and a can-do attitude. Collaborate seamlessly with other Development Managers, Product Managers and Architects to deliver a solution that not only works, but delights What skills do I need to be successful as a Software Development Manager on the SaaS Team at SoftPro? 7+ years of hands-on software development experience, including deep knowledge of the Microsoft stack: .NET, C#, SQL Server, and cloud-native Azure services, as well as modern front-end frameworks, such as angular. 5+ years of experience managing and mentoring engineering teams in an agile environment. 3+ years of experience with applications utilizing microservices on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or equivalent container orchestration platforms. Direct experience with utilizing Artificial Intelligence based development and testing tools through the SDLC, including Agentic coding tools and novel approaches to SDLC such as specification based development. Proven ability to implement and act on engineering effectiveness metrics (e.g., DORA, SPACE) to improve quality, speed, and developer satisfaction. Demonstrated passion for engineering leadership, with a balance of technical credibility and strong people skills. Experience driving test automation, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and secure development practices using Azure DevOps, Git, and Terraform. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to align engineering efforts with product goals, customer feedback, and business priorities. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The base salary (exempt) or hourly rate (non-exempt) is just one component of the total rewards package offered to our employees, including potential bonus or commission eligibility, insurance (medical/dental/vision/life/disability), matching 401(k) plan and matching employee stock purchase plan.
