In this role, you will support the evaluation and verification of critical defense software systems. You will collaborate with senior engineers to execute test plans, identify software defects, and ensure that system performance aligns with rigid military specifications. Software Tester Responsibilities Plan, develop, and execute test cases for web applications, APIs, and supporting database components Perform functional, regression, integration, and system-level testing following Agile software development principles Document test results, track defects, and verify resolution through collaboration with developers Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous process improvement Validate integration with Microsoft SQL databases and verify data integrity across systems Support test automation initiatives where applicable
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in a recognized engineering discipline or Computer Science; 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree 1-3 years of relevant experience

Preferred Skills:
Experience testing web applications, APIs, and database-driven systems. Familiarity with Agile software development processes. Understanding of software testing methodologies and defect tracking processes. Experience with test management or defect tracking tools such as Azure DevOps, TFS, or similar Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL (ability to query databases for validation) Desire to continuously improve testing practices and technical skill sets
