Job Description
Be responsible for working in a team of performance engineers that implement technical strategies and approaches defined by our Staff Engineers and Architects. This will include devising test approaches for identifying and addressing performance issues; Script design and implementation; Reporting and Analysis; conducting tool evaluations under supervision as necessary; populating the necessary dashboards, adhere to established KPI's, and representing the Performance pillar of the Quality Engineering Capability Center within this group.
Partner with our Performance Staff Engineers, Enterprise and Solutions Architecture and Infrastructure teams to leverage for conducting end to end, release level performance testing prior to rollout.
Ensure Performance Engineering standards and processes are implemented consistently across the product development lifecycle by partnering with technology and business teams.
Ensure our software is validated using performance engineering standards; performing root cause analysis; publishing results; and partnering with Development on future prevention plans.
Contributor in interpreting business challenges and best practices recommendations to improve our products, or to improve processes or services through applicable technology as they relate to Performance.
Partners with Quality Management and cross-functional teams to plan and execute large scale projects.
Introduce optimum technical tools and applications to support performance testing efforts and team productivity.
Maintain data and provide reporting on defects, regressions, performance trends, and application/services productivity.
Continually improve Quality Practices - as they relate to software and system performance.
Implement strategies that attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps; leveraging mentorship for professional growth and contributing to developing talent in the team.
