The Technical Marketing team within Worldwide Product Marketing is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to support Apple's world-class product launches. The ideal candidate has strong experience in quality assurance and quality control, with the technical depth to build and maintain tooling in python and Swift. They should be comfortable documenting test steps and procedures with precision, triaging issues under launch timelines, and using AI tools to accelerate root-cause investigation. This role is well suited to someone who is methodical, detail-oriented, and energized by solving ambiguous technical problems alongside an amazing team enabling unreleased products. Description The team supports the introduction of new products by collaborating with product managers and software engineering to ensure our Apple press demos receive the quality bar they deserve. We define, build, and validate cohesive in-person demos that showcase the abilities of our hardware, software, and services across all product lines. We partner with cross functional engineering organizations to understand how new features, software changes, security improvements, and release timelines impact demo stability. We develop test plans and triage processes to catch issues before they reach a launch stage.

This role requires a strong sense of individual ownership and responsibility, while working in a close team environment. Responsibilities Provide technical expertise to product teams, flagging risk and proposing fixes ahead of demo deadlines to ensure successful Apple product launches. Manage the sourcing of demo content with PMs, apps, and build the source devices with final layouts to prepare for launch. Own quality assurance and quality control for demo builds and bundled content across the full product launch lifecycle — from early build validation through launch-day readiness. Document test steps, triage procedures, and known-issue workflows with clear, repeatable detail for both technical and non-technical audiences. Triage issues found during testing and isolate probable cause, routing each to the correct engineering or product team with the context needed for fast resolution. Leverage AI tools to accelerate root-cause analysis and surface patterns across recurring issues before they resurface in later builds. Develop and maintain Swift-based tooling to support test execution, issue tracking, and QA automation across devices. Spot critical risks early, articulate their downstream implications, and translate that insight into fast, decisive action under launch-pressure timelines. Minimum Qualifications 3+ years of experience in a quality assurance, quality control, or test engineering role. Experience using Python for scripting or test automation. Experience triaging and documenting technical issues, including writing clear reproduction steps. Experience coordinating with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve issues Ability to safely transport, set up, configure, and break down equipment, including lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds, as required by the role. Preferred Qualifications Extensive experience with iOS and macOS testing on Apple hardware. Experience using AI/LLM-based tools to assist with root cause analysis or defect triage. Experience with tool development in Swift, with the ability to build internal QA tooling from scratch. Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate technical findings for non-technical audiences. Meticulous attention to detail and a structured, repeatable approach to test documentation. Adaptable and flexible when faced with ambiguity or shifting launch timelines. Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience. Flexible schedule and willingness to travel domestic and/or international with short notice.
