APPLE INC
has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Bench testing, debugging, and characterization of embedded on-chip circuitry (PLLs, DLLs, Clocks, Data Converters, DDR Memory, and various I/O Interfaces); Develop benchtop electrical tests exercising on-chip circuitry through a combination of FPGA, JTAG, SPI, and analog interfaces. Draft & Execution of scripts to automate tests, extract results, and generate reports using database and analytical tools. Generate reports for characterization and/or debugging to provide design feedback. In-system PI/SI measurements for correlation with simulation models. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Design, System HW, and SW. Support ATE and Product Engineering. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $174,149 - $225,300/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Preferred Qualifications n/a Minimum Qualifications Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Circuits and Systems, or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Experience and/or education must include:
Characterizing and validating high-speed serial interfaces (e.g., PCIe, USB, OIF, Ethernet). Executing bring-up and validation of SerDes links across multiple protocols. Performing link margining, eye diagram analysis, and jitter tolerance testing using real-time and sampling oscilloscopes, BERTs, and pattern generators. Developing and maintaining automation scripts for high-volume SerDes testing to streamline data collection and analysis. Implementing data visualization pipelines to summarize BER, eye height/width, and adaptation results across sweeps and temperature conditions. Building machine learning models to predict BER trends or optimize equalization parameters using lab data. Utilizing experience in Signal integrity and familiar with the Vector network analyzer. Facilitating automation using Python. Implementing Machine learning and AI-based optimization. Performing RTL coding and creating RTL scripts for testing.
