Do Work That Matters Build Your Career with a² A² will support your growth by offering best-in-class benefits and upskilling opportunities Senior Space Systems Enterprise Test Engineer - El Segundo, CA 180826 A² Systems Engineering is seeking an experienced Test & Evaluation (T&E) Engineer, preferably a subject matter expert (SME), to support U.S. Space Force enterprise-level test and evaluation assessments. The position provides technical and policy expertise across developmental, integrated, operational, and cyber testing domains, supporting threat-informed, integrated mission-level assessments of complex space and ground systems and Systems of Systems. The successful candidate will help Government leadership determine whether systems and integrated architectures are effective, resilient, interoperable, cyber-secure, and ready to support operational missions.

On-Site Government Facility Clearance Requirement:

Active Top Secret clearance required. Must be eligible for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program access.

Salary Range:

$175,000/yr - $190,000/yr

• Full-time starting salary will ultimately depend on several differentiating factors, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories Key Responsibilities Collaborate within a small, focused working group, building a structured threat assessment process and steering the development of a supporting threat assessment tool. Collaborate with AI and software developers, defining and directing technical features and implementation of a threat assessment tool. Develop, review, and assess T&E strategies, test plans, test objectives, requirements, procedures, evaluation criteria, and test reports for complex space, ground, command-and-control, and mission systems. Support Developmental T&E (DT&E), integrated testing, enterprise testing, and mission-level assessments. Incorporate adversary threats, vulnerabilities, and tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) into test planning and evaluation. Analyze test results and technical data to determine whether systems or Systems of Systems meet technical, operational, interoperability, resilience, and mission requirements. Identify gaps in test coverage, environments, resources, threat representation, instrumentation, and evaluation methodology and recommend approaches to close those gaps. Support enterprise and end-to-end mission testing, including mission-thread, kill-chain, system-of-systems, and integrated assessments. Provide technical assessments and recommendations to Government engineering, acquisition, test, and program leadership. Required Qualifications 10+ years of Test & Evaluation experience supporting complex DoD, Intelligence Community, aerospace, space, ground, or comparable technical systems. Master's degree in engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, operations research, or another scientific or technical discipline. Demonstrated experience with test planning, execution, analysis, evaluation, and reporting. Demonstrated experience with cyber policy and test and evaluation, cybersecurity assessment, cyber-resiliency testing, vulnerability assessment, or threat-informed testing. Working knowledge of DT&E, OT&E, integrated testing, systems engineering, risk management, and DoD acquisition processes. Experience evaluating complex systems from an end-to-end mission, enterprise, or system-of-systems perspective. Preferred Qualifications T&E experience supporting the US Space Force or other DoD/IC space organizations. Working knowledge of testing space systems, ground systems, command-and-control systems, or integrated space architectures. Experience with enterprise testing, mission-thread testing, kill-chain assessments, or integrated system-of-systems assessments. Experience incorporating adversary threat intelligence into engineering and test activities. Familiarity with cyber/threat frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, D3FEND, CVE/CWE, SPARTA, or comparable resources. Familiarity with DoD test planning, deficiency reporting, test-management, modeling and simulation, or digital engineering environments. The Opportunity This position is well suited for an experienced T&E professional who wants to work beyond individual system testing and address enterprise-level mission performance and risk. The engineer will help connect system performance, vulnerabilities, adversary threats, test results, and deficiencies to the larger question of whether integrated capabilities can successfully accomplish the mission. Collaborate within a high-impact, agile working group to design and execute a comprehensive threat assessment process and analytical tool, proactively identifying emerging threats, evaluating their potential impacts on critical systems, operational kill chains, and overall mission success to deliver actionable insights to program managers and leadership.
